"This half-form makes me kind of itchy." Mady continued to twist around, peering at them every which way. "And besides, what if mom and dad see?"

While they had been playing, the (technical) oldest of the trio had accidentally shapeshifted halfway into his main form. He looked like a Corvafex, kinda, if they were red and had claws instead of feathers for hands.

"They won't." Static said, completely confident. In fact, their parents never did see them, but everyone else visiting the temple to the shifter-gods did.

At first Mady had simply wandered around, silent, while his brothers trailed behind to watch. Everything was okay, until the first other tourist spotted him and caused an uproar. A Red Corvafex? It must be special! Before he knew it, people were trying to take pictures, give him offerings, and put rings of flowers around his head.
He ran away, deeper into the temple where they couldn't find him, Cody and Static giggling the whole way.

They thought they had got through it scot-free, until they heard a noise. Two, real Corvafex had appeared to see what the fuss was about, and were approaching Mady. "BBrrrrkkktttshhhh?" one said. They didn't look happy.
He backed up, "Hey guys...?" he pleaded, looking back towards his brothers, "Help me out here...?"

The tabloids went nuts over the appearance of the Red Corvafex, and run the pictures now and then to sell newspapers. The fact is though, no one has seen it since.</sub>

Man, I have been working on this foreverrrrrr XD;; The lineart was done...sometime early last month. And it's been kind of sitting on my computer since then. I think this is the longest I've kept working on someone, and I think...I'm quite done messing with it XDDD;;
There are some parts I don't like, but for the most part...! I'm really glad I tried. I had this envisioned in my head for so long, but I couldn't pull it off without a background, and we all know how much I do backgrounds. >_> The birds and the kids were done on separate pages and put together. I had to just kind of...create the background around them.

Yes, the shifter temples are actually that dark/dim inside them. XD They're a nocturnal species, actually, so they much prefer it that way. Corvafex (woohoo, old ref!) mostly hang around the temples, and they're considered to be holy, because they can move so easily between planes. They are also messengers, but they are very, very difficult to understand. They are super quiet when they have nothing to say, and extremely loud when they do, sounding not like crows, but a combination of heavy bells and speaker static.

The writing's not very good. usually I can do a lot better than that. Oh well. XDD
